The Sound of the Sea
Walking on a beach one summer day, I pause to gaze at the sea. The wind blows in my face and hair like the caress of a lover. Smiling, I close my eyes and inhale the freshness of the air. A salty smell greets my nostrils, and a new vigor rises within me. Peace fills my body as I stand there motionless, listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. And my heart swells within me as I hear this sweet symphony. A trembling fills my frame when I think of my longing to be part of nature's song. To be one with all living things; one melody in the music of life.
